Carts for Industrial Robot Handling

Robot handling carts play an essential role in the systems where they are installed. Robot movement is achieved by adding an axis connected to the base, namely a cart. This cart allows the Lesta industrial painting robot, within the complete system, to expand its working area.

The range of Lesta robot handling carts includes 2 types of robot handling carts:
• Ground-mounted carts consist of a rail system with a motorized plate designed to slide along it. The system is connected to the robot, which is moved and also records movement along this axis.
• Overhead carts (or gantries) consist of bridges supported by columns equipped with rails on which a plate slides, with the robot mounted upside down. In this case as well, the movement of this axis is recorded during the self-learning function. These types of carts can add more than one axis to the overall system, allowing the robot to move longitudinally, as well as horizontally and vertically.

All cart-based systems (both overhead and ground-mounted) are generally equipped with a plug-in called “Follow me”, which allows the robot to naturally follow the operator during recording.
