Lesta RECIPE MANAGER is a painting parameter recipe management system: it manages painting parameters, organized into recipes and easily recalled through the touch-screen installed on its control panel.

The parameters that Lesta RECIPE MANAGER can manage are: flow rate, atomization, fan pattern, gun opening delay and lead, cycle time, all grouped and recallable as a single recipe.

How painting parameter management works with Lesta RECIPE MANAGER

Each recipe collects the set of painting parameters suited to a given piece or a given phase of the cycle, so they can be recalled in a single step from the touch-screen instead of having to reset them manually one by one every time the piece being processed changes. The operator selects the corresponding recipe and the system automatically applies the flow rate, atomization, fan pattern, gun opening delay and lead, and cycle time defined for that job.

Flow rate regulates the amount of paint delivered by the gun, atomization affects the fineness of the product’s atomization, while the fan pattern determines the width of the spray jet on the piece’s surface. Opening delay and lead define the exact moment at which the gun opens and closes relative to its pass over the piece, avoiding overlaps or uncovered areas at the edges, and the cycle time sets the total duration of the painting phase associated with that recipe.

This painting parameter recipe management system can be integrated into all Lesta robots without the panel made up of an electrical cabinet with screen and dedicated software; in that case the user interface will appear integrated within the Lesta LECROB Robot Manager software, the standard management software for Lesta robots. Lesta RECIPE MANAGER can therefore be integrated into all Lesta robots even without the panel made up of a case and screen with dedicated software, reducing the hardware components required on the plant.

Lesta RECIPE MANAGER is an accessory that can also be integrated into painting systems with guns or reciprocators without Lesta robots, provided the gun installed is equipped to support this functionality. This accessory can be integrated into liquid industrial painting and finishing systems, both on newly built lines and as an upgrade to already existing systems.

Integration of Lesta RECIPE MANAGER into painting systems

Within a complete industrial painting system by Lesta, the recipes managed by Lesta RECIPE MANAGER can be automatically recalled by Lesta PRODUCTION MANAGER when the program corresponding to the piece being processed is loaded, while the painting paths created in Lesta PAINT STUDIO can be paired with the most suitable parameter recipe for that path. For systems that include periodic nozzle cleaning cycles, Lesta CLEANING STATION can also be recalled as part of the recipe assigned to a given piece.

Managing painting recipes via touch-screen also allows the plant supervisor to always keep track of which parameters have been assigned to each piece, without having to manually check the gun settings station by station. If a parameter needs to be changed, for example to adjust the aesthetic result required on a given piece, it is enough to update the recipe once for the change to be applied to all subsequent jobs that recall that same recipe.
